THE ADI QUALIFICATION If you wish to teach driving for reward, to either complete beginners or experienced drivers, the only official qualification is that of DSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) (car) (or in Northern Ireland, DoEADI). You must have had a minimum of four years’ experience as a driver and meet all of the other requirements laid down in the Road Traffic Act.
